Meet Dianne

Dianne Frewer, Owner of A Fitting Creation, began her lifelong passion for sewing by helping her mother with dance and stage costumes for her dance recitals. In 1976 she started her sewing business. While she seldom turns down a project, she concentrates her skills in two areas: wedding attire for the entire wedding party, formal and evening attire as well as When Ready to Wear is Not! This includes everyday wear, suits, jackets, skirts, slacks, and custom wear your design. She was commissioned by the Indianapolis Museum of Art for a black velvet skirt which was displayed under a Bill Blass jacket. Some of the more unusual projects she has completed include soft-sided luggage and beverage cart covers for an airline's elite charter service.
sewing is my passion
As an active member of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals, she attends their annual conferences and is an instructor at the conference. She is an officeholder in the local ASDP chapter. She is also a member of Indy Wedding Ideas, Indianapolis Wedding Professionals Network, Worldwide Who's Who, Perfect Wedding Guide, International Women's Leadership Association, Women of Distinction Magazine, and Top Female Executives.

In 2012, the business had grown enough to merit 2 part-time employees. Blee Nighbert and Jan Feliciano came on board to assist in daily activities, including editing printed communications, scheduling, basic sewing tasks, and assisting with fittings. Both employees are learning the fine art of couture sewing, both hand and machine.

Dianne has recently devoted herself to sewing full time and is loving every minute of helping each customer make her dreams come true.

A Fitting Creation's studio is located near Clayton, Hendricks County, Indiana (west of Indianapolis), and has clients from as close as Plainfield or as distant as Bloomington, Carmel, Terre Haute, Greenfield, Mooresville, Zionsville, and Lebanon.
